In the span of just over two weeks, the South has been hit by two devastating hurricanes, Helene and Milton.

Helene's heavy rainfall caused severe flooding in North Carolina, and Milton's extreme winds have the potential to wreak havoc on Florida on a historic scale. But while these two extreme weather events have and will cause tragic destruction, there are still people who refuse to take them seriously.

Many conspiracy theorists online seem to be under the impression that hurricanes are man made, and other religious groups believe they have the power to redirect the storm through telekinesis. Oh, and one family that booked their expensive Disney vacation just won't accept their sunk cost.
